In the area:
We are located 10 min by car from Nelson. In the summer time many Nelsonites use Blewett Rd as their biking trail. It is 30 min by bike to Nelson and 50 ( or more) min back, as we are uphill from town. There is a city bus that stops in front of the farm on request. Going to town by bike and taking a bus back saves you an uphill ride.
Other destinations:
Whitewater Ski resort, 30 min by car, famous for its powder. Nelson was voted The Best Ski Town in North America by Powder Magazine.
Granite Point Golf course, 10 min by car
Closest beach: Taghum Beach, 5 min by car to this beautiful sandy beach on Kootenay River
Mountain biking: world class, abundant, closest area Morning Mountain is accessible from the house, a 10 min bike ride on Blewett Rd.
